This historic and architecturally significant structure is an all-artist building devoted exclusively to promoting the arts, including visual, auditory and performing. It’s here to touch, to visit and to experience.
The Flat Iron website is an artists-run group created to revitalize the Flat Iron Arts Building Community in Wicker Park.
Using the artists work as a vehicle to present original galleries and enhance the sense of the community, and to fulfill the need of an organizing entity to help artists have a presence.
The purpose of this group is to create the right enviroment to foster new and relevant opportunities for the resident artists and galleries of the Flat Iron Arts Building. Collaborating together, with local community businesses and other institutions we can develop projects and exhibitions dealing with important issues.
