Boarding the train is simple. Entrance and ticket booths are located at both the Adams/Wabash and Washington/Wells CTA ‘L’ stations (Washington/Wells is handicap accessible). Once your ticket has been purchased, you will be given an official AoT wristband. Simply show your wristband at either of the official entrances, and you will be able to board Art on Track without paying the normal CTA fair.

Art on Track will make four stops on its circuit around the loop, allowing passengers enough time to switch cars. The train usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes per round trip, so viewing each train car once will take you about forty minutes in total. Of course, you are welcome to spend as much time aboard AoT as you like, and you are free to come back later in the evening.

(note: While Art on Track tickets grant access the ‘L’ Platform, and the ability to board the chartered Art on Track train, they do not replace regular CTA fair. The purchase of a CTA fair is required in order to ride any of the regularly scheduled CTA trains.)

The Holiday sm ART show ! is open to all, everyone is welcome!

WPB First Friday • 6pm-10pm

On the First Friday of each month the Wicker Park/Bucktown area comes alive with a unique celebration of the arts. It’s a neighborhood pARTy and everyone is invited!

Start your evening at the historic Flat Iron Arts Building where you can explore two floors of art displayed in the intimate setting of over three-dozen resident artists’ studios and living spaces. Also on hand will be a selection of guest artists exhibiting in the building’s common areas, as well as impromptu performances throughout the evening. Many studios offer refreshments.

In addition, special guest artists will be featured in the newly opened FIAA Gallery and Cultural Center on the second floor. Here you can also pick up literature and special offers from the dozens of WPB businesses participating in the First Friday events.

Of course, the neighborhood is expecting you, so feel free to venture forth on your own and enjoy the boundless shopping, dining and nightlife opportunities our vibrant community has to offer.

It’s impossible to see it all in just one visit, but don’t worry, we do this every month!

Cost is $10 per session (3 hrs); for those of you not wanting to pay cash weekly, punch cards are available for $100 for 11 sessions or $50 for six (one free). Too, I will have fresh coffee and juice available each session.

Sessions will consist of 50 minutes of gestural drawing (five 2-3 minute poses, two five, three ten minute poses); 50 minutes of two fifteen, one twenty min pose; and 50 minutes of long pose (to further allow for the painters in the group to take more advantage of the poses). Down the line we may or may not begin clothed & costumed sessions, something with a theatrical twist.
